Counseling for Kilgore teens and families

Most of our week is teenagers: anxiety that shows up as stomachaches and skipped classes, depression that looks like a locked bedroom door, ADHD, anger, grief. Parents are part of the work — sometimes in the room, sometimes through parent coaching. For adults we offer individual counseling, couples counseling, and EMDR for trauma.

Families we see from Kilgore, Sabine, and White Oak

Kilgore High School students carrying more than their backpacks. Sabine ISD kids from Liberty City. White Oak families who are five minutes closer to us than to most of Longview. The presentations are the ones every East Texas parent recognizes — anxiety, falling grades, anger that arrives out of nowhere — and a few that surprise people, like teens who seem fine at school and fall apart at home.

A lot of Kilgore households run on oil-field and plant schedules, where this week’s free evening is next week’s shift. Our spread of weekday, evening, Saturday, and telehealth slots exists for exactly that kind of calendar.

Why the short drive matters

Weekly counseling only works if it keeps fitting your schedule. Fifteen minutes of road means a 4:00 session gets your student home by 5:30, and our evening slots until 7pm and Saturday hours until 4pm leave room when the school year gets loud. Kilgore College students who’d rather not drive at all can use telehealth from their dorm or apartment — available to anyone in Texas.

What it costs

$45–$115 per session by clinician level, listed publicly on our fees page. Self-pay, superbills for out-of-network reimbursement, HSA/FSA accepted.

Questions Kilgore families ask

Where exactly are you relative to Kilgore?

1000 N High St in Longview — take US-259 North, about 15 minutes from downtown Kilgore.

Can my teen come straight after school?

That’s the most common arrangement for Kilgore families. Afternoon and evening slots run until 7pm on weekdays.

Do you work with Kilgore College students?

Yes, in person or by telehealth. Anxiety, depression, and adjusting-to-college struggles are all inside our regular caseload.

Do you see younger children from Kilgore?

Yes — play therapy for younger kids, alongside our teen and adult work. The fit call is the fastest way to match your child’s age to the right clinician.

Our work schedule changes every week. Can counseling still work?

Usually, yes. Families on rotating schedules mix weekday, evening, Saturday, and telehealth sessions rather than keeping one fixed slot. We plan around the schedule you actually have.

Start with a free fit call

A 15-minute fit call answers most of the questions this page can’t: which counselor suits your kid, how soon you can start, whether what you’re describing is something we treat. (903) 386-3824 — call or text.
