Every conversation turns into a fight. It doesn't have to stay this way.
You still love each other. You've just lost the ability to talk without it going sideways. This is family counseling focused specifically on your relationship with your teenager — just the two of you in the room, not the whole household.
Most parents wish they'd called sooner.
Signs the conflict has become more than "normal teenage stuff"
Some friction is expected during adolescence. These patterns suggest it's time for outside help.
Not sure if what you're dealing with needs counseling or just time? A free 15-minute Fit Call gives you a professional perspective — no commitment required.
Call (903) 386-3824 — It's FreeHow is this different from Parent Coaching or Family Counseling?
Parent Coaching works with you alone — your teenager doesn't attend, and you leave with tools to use at home.
Family Counseling addresses the whole family system, often with multiple children involved.
Parent-Child Conflict Counseling is family counseling focused specifically on the parent–teen relationship — just you and your teenager, rather than the whole household. We'll help you figure out which format fits best on your Fit Call.
What sessions actually work on
Concrete relationship repair, not open-ended venting.
Breaking the same-fight cycle
Identifying the specific pattern — the trigger, the escalation, the shutdown — and interrupting it before it becomes automatic.
Communication that actually lands
Teaching both of you to say what you mean in a way the other person can actually hear, without it turning into a fight.
Rebuilding trust after repeated conflict
When conflict has been going on for a while, trust erodes on both sides. Sessions rebuild it deliberately, not by accident.
Renegotiating rules and independence
Many conflicts are really about autonomy — curfews, screen time, decision-making. We help you find boundaries that respect both your role and their growth.

We Get You Scheduled
We match you with the counselor whose style fits your family, and get you on the calendar around school and work schedules.
First Session — Building Safety First
Before working on the conflict itself, your counselor makes sure both of you feel safe enough in the room to be honest. No lecture, no taking sides.
Ongoing Sessions
You and your teenager practice new patterns together, with your counselor coaching in real time — then take it home and report back on what worked.
You didn't stop loving each other. You just stopped being able to reach each other.
Most parents who come to us for this feel like they've tried everything — talking, giving space, setting consequences, being patient. None of it seems to be working, and it's exhausting to keep fighting the same fight.
The relationship between you and your teenager isn't broken beyond repair. It's stuck in patterns that are hard to see from inside them. A structured space with someone outside the relationship can interrupt those patterns — for both of you, not just your teenager.
