Justin is the founder of Renew Counseling Center and has worked with teens, families, and individuals across East Texas for years. As an LPC-S and MAMFT, he provides clinical supervision to LPC-Associates working toward full licensure. His supervision style is collaborative and direct — he helps supervisees build clinical identity, navigate difficult cases, and develop the kind of confidence that only comes from good supervision done consistently. He has a particular depth in adolescent and family work, trauma-informed practice, and faith integration in counseling.

External — Any Employer

Already Employed Elsewhere

Working at another practice or agency? You can contract with Justin or Kimberly as your external clinical supervisor. Many employers don't have an LPC-S on staff — engaging an external supervisor is a standard, TSBEP-accepted arrangement. Each brings a different specialty emphasis, so the fit depends on your caseload and clinical goals.

Clinical focus areas

Both supervisors bring specific depth — matched to your caseload and clinical goals.

Play Therapy & Child-Centered Approaches — Kimberly
Play-based and expressive modalities for children and younger adolescents. Child development, family communication, and working with parents when the child is the identified client. One of the few supervisors in East Texas with this specialty.
Teen and Adolescent Counseling — Justin
Developmental dynamics, family system intersections, school collaboration. Working with resistant teens. When and how to involve parents.
Family Systems — Justin
Marriage and family therapy frameworks. How individual presentations are embedded in family patterns. When to bring family members in and how to structure those sessions.
Trauma-Informed Practice — Justin & Kimberly
Understanding trauma presentations across the lifespan. Avoiding re-traumatization. Knowing when and how to introduce trauma modalities — including expressive and play-based approaches for younger clients.
Clinical Identity and Professional Development — Justin & Kimberly
Building confidence with difficult cases. Recognizing countertransference. Developing your clinical voice. Managing scope boundaries. Applicable regardless of which supervisor you work with.
Ethics and HIPAA Compliance — Justin
Practical ethics — dual relationships in small communities, documentation standards, minor client confidentiality, and real-world HIPAA scenarios.

Supervision rates

Individual supervision is $90 per session, and triadic supervision is $55 per person. Supervision built into an employment arrangement at Renew is structured separately — ask during your inquiry call. Some arrangements are built into employment packages — others are structured as standalone contracts for external supervisees. Call (903) 386-3824 or send a message to discuss current availability, format, and pricing.

Common supervision questions

Yes. External supervision is a normal, TSBEP-compliant arrangement. Many employers — especially small practices, agencies, or nonprofits — don't have an in-house LPC-S. You can contract with either Justin Robinson or Kimberly Reagan as your external supervisor. Which one is a better fit depends on your caseload and clinical goals — call us and we'll talk through it.
Supervision sessions do not count as direct client contact hours — they are supervision hours under which your client hours are earned and documented. Your client contact hours accumulate at your place of employment. Your LPC-S signs off on your hours and tracks your progress toward licensure.
Case presentations, clinical questions, ethics situations you've encountered, documentation you want to review, or areas where you feel uncertain. Both Justin and Kimberly structure supervision around your actual caseload — not a generic checklist. Justin focuses heavily on conceptualization, family dynamics, and clinical identity. Kimberly emphasizes child and expressive modalities, developmental framing, and working with families when a child is the identified client. Come with real material and ready to engage.
Yes. Supervision sessions can be conducted via telehealth for supervisees anywhere in Texas. In-person sessions are available at the Longview office.
It comes down to your caseload and clinical goals. If you're working primarily with teens, adults, families, or couples — and want depth in adolescent development, family systems, trauma, or faith integration — Justin is likely the better match. If your caseload includes children, younger kids, or you want to develop expressive and play-based skills — Kimberly is the right supervisor. If you're unsure, call us and we'll talk through it honestly. We'd rather match you well than just fill a supervision slot.
