AT A GLANCE

COUNSELING STYLE

Cristal Vences, MA, LPC-A

From a young age, Cristal Vences felt a clear and powerful calling from the Lord to become a counselor. Shaped by her own life experiences and deep faith, she believes her purpose is to walk alongside others through their pain, healing, and growth. With years of experience in the mental health field and a strong foundation in Christian counseling, Cristal creates a warm, welcoming space where clients can feel recognized, supported, and reminded that they are never alone—God is near.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Cristal offers counseling for individuals, couples, and families, meeting each client with empathy, compassion, and a grounded presence. Her therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative, drawing from person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and mindfulness-based strategies. Sessions often include faith-based practices such as prayer, journaling, and movement—sometimes even painting, crocheting, or a friendly board game—as creative ways to process emotions and reconnect with one’s inner strength.

Cristal is a Certified SYMBIS Facilitator and has a heart for helping couples build strong, faith-filled foundations. Whether working through anxiety, trauma, grief, or major life transitions, she believes that healing is not linear—but a deeply personal journey of emotional processing, self-awareness, reframing, and ultimately, empowerment.
When she’s not in session, Cristal finds joy in creating with her hands—crocheting, hand-embroidering, or sewing a new dress or purse, always with a cup of coffee nearby. She cherishes time spent with her husband in his garage, or laughing over a game of Uno with family and friends. For Cristal, counseling is more than a profession—it’s a ministry of hope, healing, and restoration.
