Kim is a licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Justin Robinson, LPC-S. She has seven years of experience working with adolescents facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, defiance, loss, and attachment issues. Her passion lies in serving the community through a warm, empathetic, and encouraging approach to therapy.
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Kim earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she also competed on the Track Team. After graduation, she dedicated seven years to supporting teens in various residential boarding schools across the United States. Her passion for mental health led her to Texas, where she completed a Master of Education in Counseling and Development at Lamar University.
Kim has called East Texas home for the past five years. Outside of her work at Renew Counseling, she enjoys biking on local trails, volunteering with pre-teens at her church, and staying active in the community. She finds joy in traveling and spending time outdoors, especially camping with her Australian Shepherd, Kipleigh.
